I've seen this restaurant doing test-runs of their recipes back in early-August so I was a bit eager when I saw that they were finally opened.  The renovations were nice but the biggest disappointment, was of course, the food.  The portions were small and the taste did not justify paying $120HKD for a Fish + choice of side.  I chose the Ling (cod) and salad for my side.  The fish was dry and was tasteless.  I had to use the tartar sauce to salvage what was already a disappointing lunch.  The salad was so plain and looked exactly like a salad that you would find at McDonald's.  I've travelled to many countries and tried various Fish'n'Chips restaurants, and Seasalt is probably the most disappointing one, by far.  For $120HKD you can find much better food and larger portions at other restaurants in the Mid-Levels area.  I would suggest that they improve their recipe and increase their portions because those were the two biggest turn-offs for that price tag.
