I like ramen Jo on causeway bay - one if the few places in HK where you get ramen that comes close to the quality in Japan. So I was happy so see a new branch in elements. Apparently a lot of other people thought the same as there was a bit of a queue at about 2 pm.The first disappointment came when I looked at the menue - the choice of soups is much smaller then in the causeway branch (it's basically just one) - no miso ramen, no mountain ramen - so in order to blow up the menue they list a lot
The first disappointment came when I looked at the menue - the choice of soups is much smaller then in the causeway branch (it's basically just one) - no miso ramen, no mountain ramen - so in order to blow up the menue they list a lot of combinations of toppigs as dish (although you can order them separately anyway).
So I went with one of the standard ramen and had disappointment number two: soup was very salty and lacking the depth and richness that ramen should have, the texture of the noodles was too soft (other than in causeway bay you are not dame how hard you like them). Not terrible ramen, but very average and therefore quite expensive for the quality. Also tried the gyoza, which where ok, but again nothing special.
On top of that the service was unattentive and slow.
