I made a reservation at Brick Lane (causeway bay) for myself and my family expecting to have a great brunch experience, but I was very disappointed. My aunt ordered their skillet pancakes, and what arrived honestly cannot be considered a pancake. They brought out a very thin crepe-like pastry on a skillet, and it was topped with 3 berries… THREE! I mean, how cheap can a restaurant be? They brought absolutely no other toppings. We also ordered two rose lattes, they did not taste of rose at all. The service was abysmal apart from the general manager who was very attentive and seemed to be doing the work of 3 people. The other waitstaff were inattentive and hard to get a hold of, even then, they would need to be asked multiple times for items as they were very forgetful. The restaurant was not overly full so I don’t not see why 7 waiters could not handle simple requests for condiments. The burger was comically tall but the taste was fine, and the fish and chips that were also ordered were okay. I do not think I will be returning to this restaurant. Taking into account the prices that this restaurant charges, I would not recommend anyone come here unless they want to be scammed out of a good meal.
While I realise this review is harsh, I would not take the time out of my dad to write this all out if I did not feel it necessary to warn others to avoid this restaurant. I hope that they see this comment and rethink some choices in service and food.
