Having heard from a few friends, I decided to give Don Buri Kings a try. Donburi (or "Don" for short) is a Japanese rice bowl dish consisting of fish, meat, vegetables or other ingredients simmered together and served over rice. This particular establishment is located in the junction of hiller street and Queens road central, opposite to la rotisserie in Sheung wan. Their menu is clear, but don't forget the specials on a side black board. All their food are rice based. The price can range from $6

I went for their best seller, salmon teriyaki Don. There was a generous portion of salmon. While the fish seems a bit dry, the flavor was wonderful!

The amount of teriyaki sauce was just right - the rice was all covered in the sauce but it didn't feel over drenched.

All set come with either miso soup or iced lemon tea. I decided for the former. It tasted quite fresh and perfect for colder weather.

The wait for the food was not long at all, less than 10min. The open kitchen shows you that each order is made when paid so it is quite fresh when you get it. The people at the shop are also very friendly for any questions or queries.

Would definitely go back for more and their stamp card (buy 9, get the 10th on the house!) gives me even more motivation to do so! Next on my list would be: spicy tuna and chicken teriyaki.
