So yeah, I really couldn't see what all the hype was about for this place, it's totally overrated for what they charge for drinks and seriously, there are other hipper, cooler, hangouts with a better view if that's what your're looking for. So yeah, I really couldn't see what all the hype was about for this place, it's totally overrated for what they charge for drinks and seriously, there are other hipper, cooler, hangouts with a better view if that's what your're looking for. I went on a Friday night and the place had been packed - with mostly over 30 expats in terms of age bracket, and pretentious locals and wannabes if you know what I mean. Nobody was particularly friendly either and hovered together in their own little cliques, shouting against the background noise so I wasn't able to catch whatever the DJ was spinning. It took about thirteen minutes to get my drink from the bar, the fruit based cocktails were quite refreshing I must admit - one sip and I could tell they were indeed made from fresh fruit, but for about $100 a pop + 10% service charge, they better be good. Also, I didn't notice any complimentary bar snacks being served either, no peanuts or chips or tortilla chips, nada. Granted, the place is convenient for nearby office Centralites, but I actually much prefer G bar or The Box which is also in IFC. So yeah, what really bugged me was the sheer noise levels, as such made it impossible to have a conversation with the one across from you, also, try to get there early if you want to snag a table with a view of the harbour, or else you might end up near the bushes or trees or whatever and that kind of defeats the whole purpose of visiting this place which is mostly for the view. The patio would also be quite horrendous in the coming months (i.e. Summertime) as who would want to be sweating it out there (where most of the seating and action - if you can call it that - is taking place) amidst the pollution and hazy smog after hours?
