Opening in North Point for awhile and it's been on my Wish to Go list, finally passing by with an empty stomach.

Restaurant was surprisingly small. Simple seatings without much complex design. Menu posted as posters along the wall. Individual menu also placed on each table.

Glad just fell into afternoon tea session (1530-1730), their afternoon tea menu was a pretty good deal.

As my friend was starved, she decided to order a set from the main menu, dan dan noodle with pan seared pork chop with spring onion sauce.I ordered Chinese Chives dumplings Shanghai noodle in Spicy broth.

Dan dan noodle was topped with peanuts, minced meat and spring onions. Smelled fragrantly and spicy. It was boiling hot. Remember to well mix before consuming. Noodle was very soft, nearly overcook. It was a bit spicy to my friend but I personally found it just right. Mince gave some texture again on a soft side. Peanut wasn't crunchy at all. Whole noodle dish gave a soft tasting texture. Broth had no peanut butter taste and on a watery side. Pork chop was juicy but again incredibly soft. Spring onion sauce marinated well. It was served in whole big serving which preferably sliced before served. And if serving such a big slice, preferably to give knife and fork alongside.

Chinese Chives dumplings noodle smelled spicy too. Soup was flavourful, spiced with chilli flavour. Noodle was again on a soft side. Not as soft as the dan dan noodle. Meanwhile, dumplings was something I needed to share more. Dumplings stuffing was delicious. Quite a lot of stuffing and well balanced of Chinese Chives and pork. Tasted both the juicy meat and also the pungent Chinese Chives. Unfortunately, all four dumplings in the noodle were teared apart. All the wrappers were falling apart. Once I spooned the dumplings up (no matter if I was doing it gently or as usual), wrapper just fell apart. Wrapper was very thin and soft. I could tell their dumpling wrappers were good one but not sure if it's overcooked or because of the very thinness.

Hence, we decided to order one more pan fried dumplings set from the afternoon menu ( Bak Choi dumplings) so as to taste their dumplings out again.

Dumplings were served pretty oily, could tell from its glossy shine. Dumplings wrappers were crispy just by the sound rubbing by the chopsticks and their golden edges. Boiling hot skin with exploding juice. Watch out of burning mouth. Before consuming you could tell their thin dumpling wrapper but most importantly some spaces between the connection of the edges. Meaning that before cooking the dumplings, the dumplings weren't completely sealed. Fortunately, pan fried dumplings were cooked perfectly while holding its shape. Bak choi filling wasn't visually as much as the Chinese Chives, but could taste it out. It was a juicy one. All in all, I believe the Chinese Chives dumplings may not be overcooked while wrappers fell apart because of the wrappers didn't fully sealed.
My friend was planning to dip it with their Doubanjiang, but after first dip, she gave it up. Their doubanjiang was very salty. Just not right or at least not well to pair with dumplings this time.

Meal sets included two drinks. We picked one cold soy milk and one kumquat lime drink. Soy milk was as nothing special but their kumquat lime drink was very refreshing. Like that they didn't add ice while fridge to cold, which kept its flavour. Very acidic and refreshing. So well to clear your palate.

It was nice dining experience with variety options. Yet, will definitely ask for tougher noodle next time.
