I’d rarely spent time writing restaurant reviews but I’d definitely recommend this place. I chose it because I was in the mood for grilled fish and I could also easily park at Leighton center, 3 minutes walk is not too bad.The place is small but very very cozy, we ordered grilled fish and some bbq. Both came fairly quick. I LOVE hot and spicy food, but since my hubby is a gweilao, I could only choose medium spicy - it was “ok” for me(like baby spicy in my book). The place is small but very very cozy, we ordered grilled fish and some bbq. Both came fairly quick. I LOVE hot and spicy food, but since my hubby is a gweilao, I could only choose medium spicy - it was “ok” for me(like baby spicy in my book). Having said that, I grew up eating Szechuan/CQ food, so my opinion has only limited value to people who seldomly eat spicy food. However, I also wish all the other ingredients in the fish are equally rich, so to give the dish more layers than just hot. Still, I wouldn’t mind going back again.
I was even more impressed with the service there, staff are nice and warm, most of them look incredibly young, giving college students, and they are really helpful and attentive. Great atmosphere for such a bbq/grilled fish joint.
