Wasn't expecting much since I've basically accepted that it's hard to find decent Singaporean food at reasonable prices in Hong Kong (similar problem with Mexican food, by the way). However, my experience at Bibi & Baba was wonderful from start to finish. Service was top notch and everything was flavourful and delicious. However, my experience at Bibi & Baba was wonderful from start to finish. Service was top notch and everything was flavourful and delicious. All at a very reasonable price as well - at least for Hong Kong standards. I especially appreciated the 'wok hei' in their food (best translated as the charred aroma of stir-fry dishes) and the fact that they did not skimp on the spice. The beef rendang and laksa definitely left a burning sensation in our mouths


I only wished that they also had 'white' carrot cake since they currently only serve 'black' carrot cake. I also couldn't help but notice the surprising emptiness of the restaurant on a public holiday evening. Granted, most people had work the next day, but for most of the evening there were only maybe two to three tables of customers, including myself and my boyfriend. I hope business picks up soon, because I would hate for this restaurant to close down!
