There's a bakery in Kennedy Town that is incredibly busy. Like crazy busy. There are huge lines going in and out. People grabbing anything and piling their tray high with bread. When asked what to buy, we're often told anything you can grab at because it's gone. And that is true! Things get sold out fast!Boyfriend decided to be brave and fight himself in! The egg tart was fabulous. One of the best I've had. The pastry was flakey. Look at the gazillion layers! The custard was smooth and creamy. Subtle sweetness. A lovely eggy taste.
The coconut tart was big! Bigger than usual ones. The crust was also a puff pastry and so flakey. The coconut wasn't too sweet but it was generous.
Prices are not expensive. Don't fear on the long lines as the cashier works really fast so you are in and out very fast. Definitely a must visit when in the area.
