My friend has been talking highly of this place..always saying "this is more than just a dessert place, their mains are awesome too!". My friend and i arrived at 8, the restaurant was quite full, lucky that we had reservation. The garden themed decoration is quite cosy, somewhat different to the rest of the diners on the street.
We scanned through the dinner set menu (soup + bread + main + coffee/tea/herb tea), and there were quite a bit of choices, all reasonably priced ($68 to $108).
We ordered a scallop penne with truffle cream sauce, and a smoked duck breast risotto with peach. For this price, we really didn't expect this high quality of a meal. Scallop penne in truffle cream sauce

~ the sweetness and sour taste of the sauce well balanced with the creaminess of the risotto
~ and look at the cut of the duck breast, see how thick it was?
at a dessert place, it's never complete without dessert.
we ordered 2 yogurts and a waffle. there were several layers in the yogurt: toppings, yogurt, fruits, cornflakes, yogurt, weetabix. both the yogurts were very creamy!

~ fresh durian! came with coconut jelly, which matches very well!
mixed fruit yogurt~ seriously, this is a breakfast! and it was good!! I can taste the healthiness!
blueberry waffle with pineapple ice cream
~ ice cream was out of expectation! strong refreshing pineapple taste, must've been made from scratch, not artificial at all! waffle was a bit crunchy yet a bit of a disappointment as it was cold. the manager explained that they want to serve it crispy so they had to let it sit for 2 mins before serving. I bit of a mismatch here as I'm the type who likes waffle hot verdict:
food: delicious and very good value! from beginning till the end!
service: great! friendly staffs.
will I come back? yes!
