A Boutea is a dainty shop in a mall with a cute Doraemon as it’s mascot. I don’t usually go there but since it was a weekend, I took this opportunity to roam about to compensate for my constant lack of exercise. However, after a walk I had a sudden craving and my sweet tooth tingled up. ><

I actually went there twice in two consecutive days, once I got the rock salt brown sugar bubble fresh milk ($34) and the second time I got the Leopard taro balls ($38). The fresh milk as I observed was smaller in size compared to other shops but their milk was one of the richest and thickest I’ve ever had. That said, it didn’t overpower the brown sugar and the two matched exquisitely. Next, the Leopard taro balls was such a novelty for me as I didn’t envisage a dessert to have a Oolong tea base with grass jelly, agar, taro, red bean, tapioca balls swimming in it. What’s better was the fact that they didn’t add additional sugar in it and everything was natural. I loved the combination of all the ingredients and enjoyed each chewy bite!
