The classic Chicken and Egg rice bowl (親子丼) (Oyakodon) ($160) was one that I was looking forward to. It's a comforting rice bowl flavoured with a balanced sweet and savoury broth.

Everything came off the grill was delicious. Among all the yakitori that we had, my favourites are pork belly and tsukune. I didn't like leeks in general but the pork belly came out perfectly with the leeks.

Birdie is not easily located and it's a bit of a stair climbing workout before we reached the H Code building
yet, we felt no regret for this trip because we had enjoyed our exquisite yakitori experience at Birdie.
