Recalling my last afternoon visit seeing their attempting breakfast options, I decided to visit once again going for their breakfast food before the typhoon.

I have no clue how come my 2nd visit the receptionist who was different from last time again giving me a bad start. We went in and stood at the reception area for 5 minutes while the receptionist was standing near the barista bar browsing her phone. Guests who sat close to that receptionist helped to let the staff know we were waiting. Staff finally came and brought us to our seat without greeting or apologising for the wait.

Anyway, it wouldn't ruin my plan tasting their brunch food. We ordered the portobello and broccolini sourdough and chicken confit benedict. For drinks, we got the iced americano and iced matcha latte.

Portobello and broccolini sourdough was well presented. Love seeing the height created by the vegetables layers. Sourdough had a crispy crust. Toasted well that even topped with vegetables and spread, crumb was light and kept the slight crunch. Thick avocado spread was half smooth and half lumpy that gave some texture. Perfect match with the velvety aubergine purée. Guessing chef used turmeric for the yellow colour, it was slightly salted that gave a slight extra flavour for the creamy avocado smashed. One portobello mushroom was topped and nicely pan-seared. Moist and had a robust earthiness. Poached egg was cooked to perfection that the oozing out yolk gave extra richness. It was a delicious dish. It will be appreciated if two poached eggs or portobello mushrooms are served which enough for every bite until finish.

Chicken confit benedict was more on a barbecue sauce side which was more on the sweet taste but not spicy. Generous amount of shredded chicken. Tender and lean meat that didn't give a hard time for tooth-picking after the meal. Smartly topped with slices of green apples plus the perfectly cooked poached eggs, the tanginess of the green apples balanced well for the rich yolk and meatiness. Sourdough was again toasted well that kept its crunchy crust and light crumb holding all the moisture toppings. Hollandaise sauce more on a garnish side for colouring instead of giving extra flavour. Savouriness from the chicken, rich egg yolk and the acidity from the green apple already lifted the whole dish while couldn't taste much of the hollandaise sauce. Anyhow, not bad.

Matcha latte was a rich earthy morning drink. Silky texture. Visually might believe a huge thick foam layer but once drinking it, it's more latte than foaminess. Hint of sweetness from the soy milk with a hint of bitter sweetness.
Iced americano this time was a bit on a tangy side. Not as good as the previous one. Roasty and aromatic.

Seeing their pastry menu also served earl grey scone. We decided to try it out too. Scone texture was pretty crumbly, more likely because of inadequate fat content. That wasn't a big flaw though because it's not a heavy one. It was messy to eat. Strong earl grey tea flavour with additional cocoa taste. Not bad.

Overall, food again surprise us with their quality and eye catching presentation; however, I believe their service needs to be improved even QR code is used to lessen the manpower. Such a shame.
