The Penne Bolognese with Poached Egg my go-to. The portion size was particularly generous as the pasta was overflowing from my already big bowl. The pasta itself was cooked to al dente, however I did notice the inner pieces that were submerged in sauce were softer which is understandable as the dish was seeved piping hot so some pasta may have continued to cook. (my guess 😅). The sauce was peppery and they did not skimp on the meat! I found the egg to be a nice touch in terms of colour, additionally the yolk added some richness to the dish. We also ordered The Backyard Breakfast but my lunch buddy found it slightly disappointed. She commented it was decent and the best part was the waffles (which was looked delicious I was tempted to steal a few bites) since it was quite fluffy like a pancake. Funny how they called it waffles but it was shaped like a doughnut. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The interior was adorable. We were placed on a small table by the massive window and throughly enjoyed the ambiance of the coffee shop. The cakes placed for display directly in front of us were enticing but we had no room left. Maybe next time.

Overall, I think Beans' options are not bad. Some are much better than others, for example I particularly enjoyed their chocolate ganache cake (forgot the exact name) and their Chinese Sausage Taro Risotto.
