Haven’t been to Genki sushi for a long time and didn’t know they have recently renovated with the train delivery service for the food. This type of idea is quite new for me at least, probably been around for ages. The train delivery, actually transfers the food from the kitchen directly to your seat. There are two levels and of train in front of you and food can be delivered to your seat quite fast. This type of idea is quite new for me at least, probably been around for ages. The train delivery, actually transfers the food from the kitchen directly to your seat. There are two levels and of train in front of you and food can be delivered to your seat quite fast. This idea minimises the use of staff running around taking and delivering orders. It’s really a clever idea and lots of kids love watching the train moving back and forth from the kitchen to the tables.
Each seating also had its own tablet which customer can order food. All the food with price are listed on the tablet. Great place for introverts, that don’t like to speak to anyone and just order and eat without even need to speak a single word.
Food wise it’s the usual Japanese fast food chain stores, don’t expect the omakase style that charges HKD2000.00 per head type of fresh at the fine Japanese restaurants in Hong Kong. But it gets the job done, the fish tasted good, with many selections to choose from. Especially enjoyed the seared sushi there but my all time favourite has to be the mackerel.
The food also arrived fast to the table, the only gripe would be paying for the bill. The counter often have lots of people and takes a long time to pay the bill. If they were able to have something set up which is all electronic would be great!
