My daddy wanted to have Spanish, since HK island area was a little bit for then to reach to tonight, so I found this in Tsim Sha Shui.Arrived on time, nice view looking outside facing the harbour.I was very surprised after checking out the menu, that majority of the dishes are not Spanish, given that this restaurant has been categorised under Spanish! Arrived on time, nice view looking outside facing the harbour.
I was very surprised after checking out the menu, that majority of the dishes are not Spanish, given that this restaurant has been categorised under Spanish! Anyway, we still thought to give it a try, since couldn’t think of anywhere to dine.
We ordered some tapas, so they called it...roasted chicken croquette, cheese fries, hummus with lamb, margarita pizza, and chicken kofta...as u can see, nothing is Spanish. The only things on the menu that I would called it Spanish are the chorizo, paella and churros.
We were thinking of ordering a paella, as we all been wanting have some for a while...but after looking at those that the waitress taking to serve other tables...We thought to give it a miss, as 1. The look of it doesn’t look very interesting and convincing; 2. I prefer to have a proper or at least half proper Spanish paella.
The cheese fries were the best out of all the dishes we’ve ordered, nice and crispy with just the right amount of cheese.
Roasted chicken croquette - ok, nothing special...
Hummus with lamb - I had it better.
Margarita Pizza - No No, the base was thin but not crispy and merely any tomatoes and basil
Chicken kofta - it’s so so, again I had it better at other places in HK.
Customer service - so so...I asked for top up for water, and my glass was still empty half an hour later. I must have asked that waitress 3-4 times already...
Overall, I was expecting to have Spanish food as this restaurant was under the “Spanish” Cuisine category! Having to find the restaurant isn’t anything alike, it’s very disappointing. The restaurant should not be under this cuisine!
The menu itself, I must say, is very international...there were Mediterranean, Asian, italian, English, Spanish, Indian...wth...I would have been ok if at least half of the stuff are Spanish, but obviously not.
Guess next time have to look properly before making reservation for dining lol
The atmosphere and deco of the restaurant is nice and unique though, sits ante surrounding is comfortable. But I doubt I would come back again
