The other English review gets it completely wrong."Arrogant"? No.This place is really kind of charming. It attracts a big mainland expat group, which ought to tell you something: it's authentic. "Arrogant"? No.

This place is really kind of charming. It attracts a big mainland expat group, which ought to tell you something: it's authentic. In fact, one gets the feeling that Chili Party is where people go for when they want a taste of home. As an American, I can relate.

My girlfriend and I go there pretty frequently. We've been there about seven times now and I've yet to see another gweilo. +1 to Chili Party for not being discovered by expats (yet!)

Onto the food... We ordered chilled spicy pig ears for an appetizer.

For the main dish, we got extra spicy (there's another level beyond that I haven't tried). Right, so if you're going into a hotpot situation thinking that each meat and vegetable component will have its own distinct flavor, you deserve to be disappointed. Pro Tip: get thin/textured meats (pig intestine, lamb) and absorbant vegetables/non-meats (broccoli, tofu). The point of hot pot is to enjoy the over-riding flavor. So if you like a really satisfying numbing sensation, you will certainly like the higher levels of spice here.

The portions were more than enough (for a grown man, no less!).  Also, hot pot is "all mixed together" by its very nature. But I suppose it's hard to compete with McDonald's, huh.

Bottom Line: The food is great and worth a try if you're into spicy food. Check Groupon to see if they've got any deals if you're still not convinced. I hope they expand to the island in the future.
