I heard the tea sets here at TWG are quite legit, so I came here with my boyfriend the other weekend and tried it out ourselves.I ordered a Trio of Salmon, Foie Gras, and Chicken Sandwiches, each of these sandwiches were quite thin and simple but how they tasted was just fabulous. I ordered a Trio of Salmon, Foie Gras, and Chicken Sandwiches, each of these sandwiches were quite thin and simple but how they tasted was just fabulous. Each has its own uniqueness, the smoked salmon was light and fresh, had a tangy flavor from the lemon juice. The foie gras sandwich was rich and not oily at all but was not dry, the fig was sweet and the fruits on the side helped balance out the overwhelming flavor of the foie gras. The chicken sandwich on the other hand was light and the breast meat was not tough and the texture was smooth and juicy. Yummsss
He ordered an Imperial Sandwich- I had a bite of his sandwich and it was packed with lots of flavor in it, first the grilled cheese on top of the bread gave this veggie sandwich a more rich and creamy flavor. The vegetable inside were fresh and savory.
Fruit Tea- Wide range of tea selections that took one whole menu to list all the teas they offer, the tea I chose was a fruit tea that was quite refreshing that has a vibrant smell of fruity aroma.
Scones with Whipped Cream and Jam- Scones were freshly made, weird looking shapes, the whipped cream wasn’t the traditional Devonshire whipped cream but were more like freshly whipped cream and the jam was just ordinary fruit jam. Overall, the scones were warm and moist.
Pistachio, Raspberry, Rose Macaroons- chewy and not too sweet, crispy shell, tasty flavors.
I really liked the tea here, everything was prepared with care, and the waiters were friendly, a really nice place to chill at on a weekend.
