This is my first time trying out this sushi place, my friends always talk about it but I never get a chance because there are always lots of people waiting for a seat. Amazingly, when I got there today there were still some seats available. Gunkan maki:The snow crabmeat was fresh and sweet. Gunkan maki:
The snow crabmeat was fresh and sweet. I thought the fish roe would be the big poppy one but I ended up with small ones but still tasted yummy.
Seafood roll:
I love the seafood roll, there were three different toppings; fish roe, minced tuna and sea urchins. The base was cucumber sushi. The fish roe was fun to eat with because they pop in your mouth, they were not so fishy. The minced tuna was soft and tasty. I love the sea urchins, they were smooth and melted in my mouth.
Spicy soft shell crab roll:
These were not so spicy, the sauce tasted a bit like curry. The soft shell crab was crispy and crunchy.
Fatty tuna with leek hand roll:
I really enjoy this hand roll, there were lots of fatty tuna, unlike the others, there were still lots of tuna right till the end. The only thing I want to complain was the seaweed, it was all soggy.
Sea urchin hand roll:
The sea urchin was smooth and sweet. Again, there were lots of urchin till the end.
Minced chicken gristle stick with egg and soy sauce:
I love this skewer so much!!!!!!!! The chicken stick itself was delicious, it was meaty and full of flavour. But wait! After dipping it into the egg and soy sauce, it tasted even better! It tasted amazingly good!
Grilled chicken wings with salt:
The chicken wings were yummy but just a bit too dry.
The only thing I wasn't too happy was the service, there were not enough staff at all. I have to ask four different staff before being able to refill my cup of tea but when I want to pay my bill, it was faster than running a marathon.
