it  was  my first time to try canele, a traditional french dessert, which is very difficult to made. i have high expectation on it, it turns out to be a good dessert but it's not my favourite.  the crust is a bit too sweet, with strong caramel flavour and crispy layer-like the most crispy part of a croissant, but  more firm in texture. it is a bit teeth-sticking. the inner part is soft, moist, full of egg and milk aroma, vanilla is optimal, but it doesn't have much rum flavor that can be added more to make this dessert sophisticated. the inner and outer is match and generally it taste good. but it is a bit expensive with only half palm size costing 35 hkd that I won't try again  unless that day I really want to eat it.
