Neighbor is a burger place we've always wanted to try. It's been open for a long time but it seemed everytime we walked by, there was a long line. Menu is in Chinese with partial English. There is no 10% service charge. They also offer upgrades to a combo set that includes a drink and a fries.
Boyfriend had a basic cheese burger ($42). This was a beef patty with cheddar cheese, tomato, red onion, romaine and lettuce and their homemade sauce that honestly tasted like thousand island. It was ok. The cheese was nicely melted. The patty was a bit dry. The bun was fine. For pricing, it wasn't expensive.
I had a signature Neighbor burger ($62) and we upgraded this with fries and a drink ($18). But I wanted a Snapple for an additional $10. This was also a beef patty with bacon, mushroom, pineapple, cheddar cheese, red onion and lettuce with their homemade sauce. The patty was also dry but this was helped out by the pineapple. The mushrooms were a bit sad on top. Definitely not generous. The bacon was your typical Hong Kong cooked bacon. Chewy and soft. Not crispy like Americans do it which is how I prefer. But I guess the local populaton here like it chewy so this is often difficult to find. Over all, it was ok. Not a great burger. But pricewise, it wasn't too expensive.
The fries were a mix of sweet potato and regular. These were not seasoned so you do need the ketchup. Otherwise, it was crispy.
The food was ok not great. Price was not expensive but definitely not worth lining up for. Probably won't be back.
