After lunch today in Hysan, my friend and I wanted dessert so after trying to list all the places within the mall, we finally decided to set foot in Cheesess since we've pretty much tried all the othersWe tried the New York Teacup Cheesecake since it looked extremely cute. The presentation was extremely delicate and pretty, having it served in a silicon cup, that comes with a saucer and shovel-like spoon. It struck me when they provided a plastic bag, until I realised that you can take it away.. including the cup since its re-useable. You could pick between two sauce toppings:
- Mixed berries, red wine sauce
- Strawberry sauce
I chose the mixed berries, red wine sauce. It was quite thick, at first I thought they gave us a lot since there was a whole puddle overlying the cheesecake however once i started digging into the cheesecake I thought there wasn't quite enough sauce. The sauce was nice though, with real blackberries and some other strawberry-looking berry (however it was extremely small, so im not quite sure if was actually strawberries). The balance of the whole dessert was quite nice, the sweet sauce complemented the acidity from the cheesecake and the texture was very rich. Overall, very good There were 3 cheesecake chunks topped with mixed berry, red wine sauce served in a waffle. It tasted exactly like the teacup cheesecake however less creamy. The waffle was very crispy and not particularly good.
