First thing first, this place was very value-for-money given the portion (generous), the location (Sheung Wan), and who’s behind it (former Michelin chef from Eight in Macau and that’s just one of his many credible backgrounds). We ordered a cold starter, baby lotus roots, which was very appetizing if you were into vinegary things. The huamei plum sauce pork knuckles were falling off the bones and were thoroughly marinated. The highlight was the (healthier version) hot and sour fish soup with homem

We ordered a cold starter, baby lotus roots, which was very appetizing if you were into vinegary things.

The huamei plum sauce pork knuckles were falling off the bones and were thoroughly marinated.

The highlight was the (healthier version) hot and sour fish soup with homemade pickled greens. Not too spicy and had very little oil. The broth was real fish soup that went nicely with a bowl of rice.

Fried mochi and bananas as dessert with brown sugar dipping.

It was full-house even on a weekday late lunch hour. Do expect a line upon your visit.
