I came here alone for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant was doing a promotion of HKD 158 (plus 10% service charge) for the buffet lunch, which was excellent value. Naturally with a buffet that cheap, the place was jam packed. Although the variety was limited, the quality was good. The salads include your normal green leaves and vegetables. The pre-mixed salads included squid, chicken feet and pork neck (which was a bit too spicy for me). The other appetisers were more in demand. There was cold
Although the variety was limited, the quality was good. The salads include your normal green leaves and vegetables. The pre-mixed salads included squid, chicken feet and pork neck (which was a bit too spicy for me). The other appetisers were more in demand. There was cold prawns, mussels and whelks. The sashimi & sushi selection were frequently running out. There were cold cuts but not that many.
The entrees were average - roast beef, pork loin, smoked duck breast, pasta, fish (that's what I can remember of the top of my head as I didn't have much of the main dishes). There were the typical fresh fruit selection and for desserts, options included strawberry mousse cake, tiramisu, orange almond cake, jelly, bread & butter pudding. For ice cream, there were six flavours of Haagen Dazs.
One thing this buffet has going for it is that it serves drinks. You can get canned soft drinks or get small glasses of juice.
Service was satisfactory - the plates were cleared pretty quickly and even when the food ran out, it was quickly replenished. However paying the bill took some time - it required 10 minutes to get a member of staff to notice me.
