Kennedy Town has changed so much over the years, and our friend recommended this cozy little french restaurant. So on this Saturday night, me and my friends came here for a birthday celebration dinner. Since we have a party of 8 people, we got the upstairs table, which was kinda nice. Well, having some privacy was good, but too bad the aircon upstairs was broken. It got quite stuffy after a while. Also, it would have been nice if they have coat hangers there as you may see, these are bar stools

Also, it would have been nice if they have coat hangers there as you may see, these are bar stools with high table, theres no where to put our bags and coats. The staff there are all very nice and attentive, however, we have to wait till the staff come up everytime to make an order or what not since there isn't any bell/ring we could notify the staff downstairs.

Anyways. We order one main each, and some bites and pasta and sides for sharing.

First this is the Hot Goat Cheese Bricks w/ Honey ($68). I loved this dish. Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Well and of course because i love cheese.

Then we had the Tuna Tartare w/ Soya sauce & Coriander Dressing ($98). The tuna is fresh, together with the sauce and mixed with some tomato, very refreshing.

Squid Tempura w/ wasabi Mayo ($88). Oh, I didn't know it's wasabi flavoured mayo until I'm writing this now actually. The tempura batter was just right, not too thick with a light crisp crust.

Parma Ham Toasted Baguette w/ Tomatoes & Basil ($88). This dish is alright. Only thing is the Param Ham tasteing a bit bland.

Then of course, with a big party, we gotta order some fries for sharing ($48). We ordered two french fries. Would have better if they stick with two baskets for two orders of fries- one basket at each end of the table. But they combined our order and gave us one big basket instead.

Two more sides for sharing - Kale Cabbage w/ Bacon ($58) & Creamy Spinach w/ Garlic & Sesame Tuiles ($50). I didn't get to try the cabbage, but the spinach was alright. Creamy, but i couldn't really taste the garlic.

Maine Lobster Linguini ($168). Tomato sauce pasta, cooked al dente, with 3-4 pieces of lobster meat on top. Lobster was quite fresh, the sauce very flavorful. Super tasty! We actually ordered 2 more of this pasta cuz it wasn't enough!

Then it came the main dish that I ordered for myself. Iberico Pork Luma w/ Potatoes Truffle Aroma & Roasted Onions ($155). The pork is very tender and delicious. I don't usually love truffle but I do think this dish has a good balance of flavor. Also, the potato pieces were soft and soaked up the sauce. I cleared the dish literally.

Others order: Beef Tenderloin, Mashed Potato & Garlic Chips ($168). Well, I let him a bit of mine and i had a piece of his. The beef was cooked just right (he ordered medium rare). Very tender again, very juicy. I'm not too sure what sauce it was on top, but it was a good match. Also, the mash potato was very creamy.

Another friend ordered the Lamb chops w/ Garlic Crumble Bread & Hummus ($145). I had a small piece of it and i find it very tender, not dried at all. The gamy flavor of the lamb meat was there but not too strong, acceptable for someone who doesn't really do lamb.

Finally, I ordered the Nutella Banana Pancakes w/ Vanilla Ice Cream ($68). Nutella. Pancake. Icecream. = Heaven. The pancake, when it came on the table, looks a bit weird. So thick? Well, thick is fine. As long as its fluffy. They were also very generous with their nutella. Enough nutella to go with each bite of the pancake.

Well. I think all the food was delicious. Only thing is, for some dishes, portion is ok (say, the pancake, the tempura, etc), but for some dishes, portion is rather small (the beef, the pasta, etc.). Also, i hope they fix the aircon soon! Glad its still winter time. Cannot imagine what it would be like when summer time comes!
