My Korean friend just got back from Korea, still overdosing from too much Korean pork belly BBQ so I thought bringing him to a Japanese sushi bar in Hong Kong would be a good idea. So we went to Moshi Moshi on Kimberly Road for a treat.

Personal and well-decorated in contemporary style is exactly what you would see as soon as you step in the restaurant. The place was full on a Wednesday so it is best that you make a booking in advance (just imagine how full it would be during the weekend!)

We ordered a double sashimi platter, a couple of freshly prepped sushi followed by miso clam soup and crab meat rolled in meticulously thin layers of egg. The sashimi was extraordinarily fresh, thick and juicy till the last bite. I am not quite sure what they had in the clam soup but the ingredients definitely brought out the flavourful fresh clams (you should order sake, it would be perfectly blend with the soup!). The egg roll was alright, a complimentary to finish off a great meal.

We wanted to order some uni but it was ran out
I guess you should also ask about the uni as you make the advance booking. I mean who does not order uni at a personal sushi bar?!

Would definitely be coming back for the uni next time!
