📍SumiyaSumiya is probably the only place that serves fresh unagi in Hong Kong. They charcoal grilled the eel to the perfect cook. You can no doubt taste the freshness of the eel even with the sauce over it. The Kabayaki sauce was not too overpowering. They also use good quality Japanese rice. The set also includes a jelly eel kobachi which is such a better version than the English ones. The chawanmushi was silky smooth with chunks of eel in it. Very tasty. Though it is quite pricey to have a HK$

Very tasty. Though it is quite pricey to have a HK$500 unagi, sometimes it is worth the splurge.
One thing to alert is don’t order any of their skewers! Only the shirayaki unagi skewer was good. All the others were so dry that they are not suitable to go with rice and it is definitely not worth HK$500.
Service was great. They have this big window to show off their kitchen where the grilling takes place.
Price: HK$500 pp
Revisit: 9/10 (for their unagi)
