After skipping out early from dinner, my cousin and I went to Okashi Galleria X Calbee Plus next door in Lee Tung Avenue.  Actually, my cousin rushed out as soon as he finished his dinner because he said the last time he went to Calbee Plus, they ran out of chips.  So, I got to the shop a few minutes after him.  He already ordered and received his order of chips with ice cream!

He let me try his Typhoon Shelter Spicy Chips with Soft Ice Cream, and I took one chip and put it in my mouth, and the heat hit me immediately!  The heat factor was too much for me.  But, I took another attempt and tried another chip with the ice cream.  The ice cream had a strong milk flavor and was quite smooth, but the chip with the ice cream was still too hot for me.

At this point, I decided to place my own order.  My cousin said that there was no one in line when he got there, but by now, there are about 5 people in front of me!  Not too bad considering the line took almost 2 hours just a couple of weeks ago!

Since the line was quite short, I didn't get to take too many pictures of the Calbee counter and the food processing area.  The chip-frying conveyor belt is similar to the donut belt from Krispy Kreme where the freshly-fried chips lay on the belt and the oil drips off before ending in the seasoning area.

Past the food prep area is the cashier, and there are menus over head and on the counter as well.

I decided to try out the classic and my favorite: BBQ flavor flat cut chips!  I wanted to see how these are different from the good ol' yellow bags I buy from the supermarket!

After placing my order (and conveniently paying with my Octopus card), I received my hot and fresh order of chips!

BBQ Flavor Flat Cut Chips: $29 for an order of chips might be a little bit expensive, but these were definitely much better than those yellow bags from the supermarket!  The chips tasted much fresher, they had a stronger potato flavor, and there was more BBQ seasoning!

My aunt and grandma joined us at the shop later, and grandma couldn't stop grabbing the chips from my bowl!

Would I wait over an hour for these chips again?  Probably not.  Would I get them again if the line is very short?  Maybe
Other Info. : The line was probably quite short even on a Sunday night because it had been pouring on and off all day.
