We were excited to try this new local coffee shop since it opened earlier this year in Ap Lei Chau. Given the positive reviews, we had high hopes of making this place as our regular brunch spot. We ordered an avocado toast ($58), bacon sandwich ($63), a flat white ($38) and sesame latte ($43). The flat white was nice. We ordered an avocado toast ($58), bacon sandwich ($63), a flat white ($38) and sesame latte ($43). The flat white was nice. It’s sad to say though that was the only good item among what we had ordered. The the bacon sandwich was lukewarm and the bacon was barely grilled. Worse, the avocado served was unripe! It was so hard that I had difficulty poking it through with a fork.
As much as we want to support neighbourhood local shops, their food leaves much room for improvement for us to return.
