The Diner has an unfortunate problem - good food, but bad service. I have gone back a few times, but I am at the tipping point where the negatives outweigh the positive. I don't know if the abysmal service is the fault of the staff, or the owner, who fails to higher enough staff - putting too much work on those who are there. I suspect it's a combination of both. I usually try not to criticise wait staff, because I know it's a tough job. That said, outside of being extremely slow, the staff show
The owner needs to take a serious look at the quality and quantity of staff. I watched two people walk out today because they weren't waited on and listened to the table beside me say this was their first and last time at the restaurant.
With a few fixes, this place could be a place I'd look forward to visiting. But for now, the diner's charm has quickly faded.
