Discovered this Tai Hang bar-style Japanese restaurant by accident while dodging rain after some Sunday shopping -- and was warmly surprised. The hostess was very welcoming, the Sapporo beer ($50) crisp and cool. I enjoyed a selection of tasty Japanese appetizers and skewers, including delciously tasty grilled fugu with a side of mayonnaise ($85). Spicy squid noodles ($40) woke up the taste buds and perfectly complemented the fresh beer. Grilled scallop was somewhat pricy ($65 for one), but well

Grilled scallop was somewhat pricy ($65 for one), but well cooked and enjoyable. Miso tofu skewers ($25) were good. Perhaps the only disappointment, and only moderately so, was the saba fish ($65), which was a litle too salty for mine.

Overall, a very pleasant experience and nice atmosphere. Would definitely return.
