To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

After visiting the Jao Tsung I Academy, my friend and I walked around in Mei Foo and found this little coffee shop. Although the place was small and seating were a little bit crowded, but the overall ambiance was relaxing and it was nicely decorated. We ordered the standard coffee and the Pandan Egg Roll. The coffee was good, but the Pandan Egg roll was great! I though it’s texture was similar to the famous Pandan Egg Roll from the Singapore airport which was moist, soft and airy. I also liked it as it was not too sweet. I only wished its pandan flavor would be a little stronger, and it would be perfect then. However, so far it was the best Pandan Egg Roll I had in Hong Kong; considering most of the egg rolls here were dry and not soft.
