Like a lot of the below reviews, I found Life too expensive for just a normal portion of plain vegetables served, with a feeling that they are ripping so much money off me because all they serve are raw salads and simple American burgers or Breakfast dishes. However, quality comes with value, and out of all the eateries I have tasted Life served the best-looking broccoli and pumpkin salad. Whenever I order the Daily Deli Salad I usually order the large take-away size portion because not only do I save more than $20 by eating out, the portion size for take-away also seems larger. I can split the large size take away box for two meals! If you eat in, you pay $98 (including service charge) whereas if you eat out its $75, but of course I guess the great atmosphere of eating inside the cafe has its own value.
Life's signature salad, the "Life Salad" would also be on my recommendation list. It looks very simple with a mix of salad leaves, humus and a few pieces of Italian crackers with only an olive oil dressing. Like the deli salad, the salad leaves are extremely fresh and "crunchy", and eating it inside the cafe on the dark wooden tables and chairs makes you feel as if you're eating on a farm. The Life Salad is $85 without service charge.
Some people also complained about the service, but to me I find the people at Life like family. they always give me extra broccoli whenever I take-away their food.
