Pastaholic in Windsor House is a fairly unassuming family Italian restaurant, with a good selection on the menu for - considering the location - impressively reasonable prices. The shop is bright and colourful, and although its not really a bar, there's a cool selection of bottles on display - both on the bar/counter and in the funky overhead lights. We each had pasta, and we shared a couple of side dishes and a dessert. I had the Genovese spaghetti with asparagus and tomato, while my partner had classic spaghetti carbonara. Both pastas were generously-sized and filling, with a good coverage of sauce and ample asparagus and bacon, respectively. We also had a chicken caesar, some potato wedges and garlic bread - the salad was fresh and crunchy, the bread was well-toasted, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the wedges... probably weren't necessary, but filled whatever gap was left by the rest.
For dessert we shared a banana chocolate pizza which was a good size for two people. We also had a sangria and a frozen caramel coffee - the sangria was sweet and strong, in a good way, and the coffee drink was tall and refreshing.
Overall, a good place for a quick and affordable carb hit after some shopping!
