I was doing a night shift. As it was my turn to bring food during our break for my coworkers, I decided to bring something sweet rather than than the usual cup of instant noodle.Noah Castella is already a popular cake shop that focuses on honey castella cakes that have a gooey center. Noah Castella is already a popular cake shop that focuses on honey castella cakes that have a gooey center. The original shop is in Kowloon City but it has since expanded to various areas in Hong Kong. I discovered that Tai Hang was the closest location near me so I came here to buy a cake.
When I arrived, I saw they had something new. They now have cup versions of their popular cake. $48 for one and $86 for two cups. If you don't want the cake, you can just buy the cups for a cheaper price. The cups were decorated with the popular Hong Kong cat, Cream Bro. I decided to pick up three cups as there were three of us working that night. Each cup was packed in a nice box for easy transport. Useful as my coworkers and I could take the cups home after we finished eating out of them. Each came with a small plastic spoon. The cups were super cute. My coworkers loved them a lot. As a cat lover, I loved them, too. There were only two flavors available. Honey and chocolate. I chose one chocolate and two honey. We nuked in the microwave for a bit for a more gooey warm feeling. The honey version was SUPER SUPER sweet. I thought a bit too sweet. The chocolate version was actually better. It wasn't as sweet as dark chocolate was used. So somehow, the sweetness of the honey balanced out the dark bitterness of the chocolate. A nice little break during work as eating it warm was good. We tried it cold but warming it up made it better. A more comforting feeling as you wrap your hands around this pretty mug.
