Restaurant: Istanbul Express Turkish Restaurant (Lockhart Road)

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 中東或泰國類此等濃烈香料的食物,不宜餐餐都吃,可是月中一、兩次,倒真是醒胃醒神的。Istanbul Express是我平日午飯時grab and go的一個不俗之選。通常我會選這兒的四十五塊kebab roll + coke下午套餐。喜歡這兒的乳酪汁跟肉類所產生的「化學作用」。不過要警告各位,kebab裡面有大量香料和洋蔥,下午要開會的朋友,要先考慮一下。個人覺得這兒的牛挺特別,有種不令人討厭的「酥」味。不過,我不吃羊,這一點實是挺遺憾,因為這兒大部份菜色都是主打羊肉,羊肉菜色選擇也比較多。這店小小的,服務不算太差,服務員很生手,但勝在夠真夠慇勤。挺有興趣找一次約會嗜羊的朋友,試試在這兒「堂食」,或者會另有一番滋味。
