Actually this review is long overdue. I had won a $1000 dining certificate from OpenRice (thank you!) for any restaurants from the LFK Entertainments group last year or so, and I decided on LUX. Actually this review is long overdue. I had won a $1000 dining certificate from OpenRice (thank you!) for any restaurants from the LFK Entertainments group last year or so, and I decided on LUX. Upon arriving, since our table wasn't ready yet, we got some drinks from the bar and got seats near the window which overlooked LKF. It was a nice spot for some people watching. Soon after, our seats were ready and we took a flight of short stairs to their main seating area upstairs. The decor was chic and modern, and the lighting was dark. Our seats were sofa chairs which was nice and comfy. It made me wonder why there weren't more people here for dinner. I quite enjoyed the ambiance. Since we had $1000 to spend, we were able to order foie gras, lobster pasta and steak to share between the two of us. The food was just okay in my opinion - nothing was exceptional or memorable. The foie gras was a bit overcooked and rough in texture. The lobster, even though it was baked with cheese on top, was bland and the pasta was dry with no sauce. The steak looked great with the searing marks and it was bigger than I thought, but also arrived a bit overcooked and forgettable in taste. The cocktail drinks were good though so this may be more of a spot for drinks than for the food.
