This little offshoot of the Flying Pig bistro on high street has taken over the old Genie Juicery place which opened and closed on the batting of an eyelid. A cool decor greets you and there’s a very small (3 bar stools looking out plus an outside couch) eating area. At max it serves 7/8 covers. The atttactive $78 eggs Benedict caught my eye a few days ago so we have it a whirl. For such a tiny place the menu is extensive. Burgers of all shapes and sizes. Tasty salads you can see in the chiller.

The Eggs Benedict with salmon and spinach was cooked to perfection. For me that means (1) poached eggs are runny inside and still warm (2) hollandaise warm and not too vinegary (3) you get two of each - been caught before with a serving of just a single portion.
We also chose 5 deep fried wings ($78) which cafe with the best blue cheese sauce we’ve had. Wife also had a half/half salad ($78) which had broccoli one side and Greek salad the other. She remarked it was excellent although felt too much sesame on the broccoli side.
So food wise - excellent. Only moan was being served in a cardboard box with wooden cutlery. I guess this ticks a sustainable box but it did make the benedict in particular a bit awkward to eat.
A definite winner which If you’re after quick, tasty bites and can get a seat, delivers excellent food at sub-Sai Ying Pun prices.
