Had brunch here during the Typhoon day and it was packed. Had brunch here during the Typhoon day and it was packed. The service was a bit slow on the drinks (waited for about 15 minutes to get iced tea and iced coffee) however the food came out quite quickly. Had a cup of corn soup which came with 2 pieces of bread and it was outstanding. The soup was nice and sweet with bursts of fresh corn taste. I loved it especially on a gloomy typhoon day. Also decided to order the grilled chicken salad with avocado and bacon. Dressed very nicely, ok portion of avocado. Tasted very fresh and crisp, however the chicken was just a tad too dry and overcooked for my liking. Only gripe is that you don't get free refills on iced lemon tea (boo).

Friends ordered the spinach salad which had a generous amount of blue cheese on it and bacon, and the other friend ordered a carbonara pasta that looked and smelled delicious (but heavy). We also splurged on the cheeses (since this is a cheese shop) and got to experience the cheese fridge upstairs. Not a huge fan of cheese, however if I was, I am sure this is the place to be.

Overall, great joint to relax and read the paper. Nice cozy atmosphere and good food.
