Soufflé pancake with mochi: There is mochi in the centre of the soft pancake, topped with vanilla ice cream and surrounded by sweet vanilla sauce. It gives a really interesting experience, with cold ice cream, sizzling hot and soft pancake and finally chewy mochi. It isn’t the very fluffy type of soufflé pancake you get at the very popular Japanese pancake places. The pancake was a bit too sweet as well and the ice cream wasn’t best quality. However, I really appreciated the originality and ‘homey-ness’ of the dessert.
Chocolate waffle with caramelized banana: This waffle was not crunchy enough but it was still pretty good. The caramelized banana acted as a great complement. The chocolate-flavoured waffle went well with the chocolate ice cream and it was still very satisfying overall.
They only have tea sets after 3pm so you would have to order a-la-carte for the desserts. However, I would still go for them and recommend them, especially the mochi soufflé pancake which isn’t that common in Hong Kong!
