After working a night shift, I usually come here to eat when I wake up. And I always order the same thing. Fish ball thin rice noodles and ice lemon tea. Why? For their fish balls which are supposedly famous? No. For their ice lemon tea. This place with only a Chinese name serves noodles with things like fish balls, beef brisket, wonton, etc. Everything is in Chinese but they do have an English menu upon request. This place with only a Chinese name serves noodles with things like fish balls, beef brisket, wonton, etc. Everything is in Chinese but they do have an English menu upon request. Located behind Times Square, expect long lines at lunch hour. Don't expect it to very hygienic, but it's also not fine dining. This is fast food, Hong Kong style as you get your food within 10 minutes or less.
On this day, I ordered fish ball and beef ball noodles with thin rice noodles. Soup base was msg laced. The balls were ok. Bouncy enough. Nothing spectacular. But I was here for their ice lemon tea. I don't know who makes the drinks but it's always just right. The tea base is strong enough without being bitter. The amount of lemon gives it tartness. The sugar syrup is not overly sweet. The ice the perfect amount. Refreshingly good.
