I had 3000 Asia miles that were about to expire soon and I saw this offer for their afternoon tea set for 1 person at Cafe 8 degrees which would cost around 3700 miles. It seemed to be a good choice, especially since there was no blackouts at the third day of Lunar New Year despite being a pubic holiday. The location is not too convenient but with Tuen Ma Line it was more accessible. If you don't use Asia Mile, you can prepay for the afternoon tea so it will only cost about 130 per person. Given
The scone was a bit cold but luckily it still remained soft.
The savories were mediocre but definitely matched what I am paying for. Most importantly the mashed potatoes and chicken sticks were hot.
My hopes were initially not high for the dessert but I was impressed by their their Mango napoleon. It was still crispy and the mango toppings were lovely. The Mango Crepe Cake was also a nice surprise with quite a lot of mango inside.
However, the most disappointing was the self service coffee.
The coffee I got was so dilute I would call it as black water. For the price(or miles) I am paying, I am not asking for a latte but a regular coffee would suffice. Hope they improve on their drinks.
Other Info. :
If you use Asia Miles Coupon, there are still some blackout dates so please read carefully.
