Conveniently located in Wan Chai, il Bel Paese is a great restaurant with great food and atmosphere, most suitable for family and friends gathering. The restaurant also sells a wide variety red and white wine, liquor, non-alchoholic beverages, and Italian seasonings and spices. At the back of the restaurant, you can buy cheese and ham to take away. No table waiting time.Friendly service and knowledgeable staff. The lighting is dim and relaxing, great place to chill after a long day of work. Tables are widely spaced apart, you won't feel cramped in a tiny space - really comfortable!
The menu is simple and clear (only in English). I highly recommend the Beef Carpaccio, but unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it :/
We ordered: Rissoto, Salmon, Homemade Meatballs Spaghetti, Carbonara with bacon, and finally Tiramisu for dessert.
The waiting time for the food to arrive was pretty quick, around 10 minutes only.
I wouldn't go in-depth describing the taste and texture of each dish because I am no expert. Overall, we enjoyed the wonderful and authentic Itlian food by il Bel Paese. We are certainly more than delighted at the service. Will go back again for sure!
