Great service and excellent ambience at the TMK located at the Sixteenth in Quarry Bay. The restaurant was nicely renovated and decorated in sharp bright colours and vintage style. The vibes and music of the place will surely give you good mood.I tried their tasting menu this time which means they will serve us all their chef’s recommendation and signature dishes! TMK Cabbage Salad
The fresh cabbage was shredded and was mixed with yuzu mayo and tenkasu. The combination was really refreshing and appetising. It was a great start to the meal.

Edamame
Just like every other edamame dish, the edamame was steamed and was seasoned with sea salt. It tasted nice and it also helped to balance out the heaviness and oiliness of the fried dishes.

Karaage
Their fried chicken is 🔥! The batter was really nice, well seasoned and not overly thick and oily. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. It was paired with spicy mayo.
Fried Squid
The fried squid was another highlight for the night. The squid was really soft and tender with a really crispy coating. It was paired with black pepper citrus dip and lime which added a punch of freshness to the dish! Yummy yummy yummy!
Roll of the day
The roll of the day is a chicken katsu curry roll. The chicken was lightly fried and was wrapped in sushi rice and seaweed. The roll was topped with curry sauce and spring onions. I really enjoyed this creative combo as I am always a curry and fried chicken lover🤣

TMK Handrolls
Comparatively, the handrolls were a bit disappointed. The avocado and salmon roll was nice, pretty fresh. As for the wagyu beef flavour, the wagyu tartare was a bit tasteless and I was not sure if it worked well with the sushi rice. I didn’t give a try to the hamachi roll since they had added generous amount of fresh coriander to it.

Chocomanaka
The crispy shell was filled with rich chocolate mousse and topped with some fudge sauce. The mousse was creamy and flavourful, yet not overly heavy. It was a nice dessert to end the feast!
