Great Location, Good Sorbet Gelato

DOOD Gelataria is in a great location, prominently facing Wanchai Rd. There really aren’t that many Gelato specialty stores in HK (Cova, can’t think of anything else).I walked in 10:45pm Tues night, past their 10:30 closing time. It’s run by a friendly husband + wife couple, and you can sense their hard work and commitment just by observing their behavior in-store. I walked in 10:45pm Tues night, past their 10:30 closing time. It’s run by a friendly husband + wife couple, and you can sense their hard work and commitment just by observing their behavior in-store. The wife was really nice and let me try like 6 flavors.

I had the Guava + Papaya sorbet gelato in a cone, it was pretty good, and had that gooey, elastic, chewy consistency that one expects from good gelato.

I think it’s a must-try for the simple reason that it’s hard to find good gelato in HK...
