Great Small French Restaurant Upstairs

This is the first time I write commentary here.  A young man coming over from Singapore to work in HK, my colleague has recommended this up-stair French Restaurant to me.  I am taking one of my friend whom we met at the Gym, for a casual night out.I think we are lucky as we were giving a table seat by the window, you can see the magnificent view from up here.  If you are bringing a girl out for dinner like me, this environment is a sure win!The waiter service is average, does not seem to be very

I think we are lucky as we were giving a table seat by the window, you can see the magnificent view from up here.  If you are bringing a girl out for dinner like me, this environment is a sure win!

 The waiter service is average, does not seem to be very knowledgeable about their own dishes, but at least carries a smile on his face most of the time.   Special dinner set with 3 appetizers and 1 main dish, which I decided to go for it (don't need to think and focus on the conversation with my friend). The appetizers are crabmeat , fried scallop and spring egg with asparagus.  Fried scallop stands out as it's so fresh, cook to perfection and taste just mouth washing. The other 2 are fine.

  Slow braised beef cheek does not appear in the menu in most other restaurant, plus the waiter recommended it as the cheek is the most tender part of the beef. It was cooked to medium rare as I requested, meat tender and taste good, athough did not exceeded the expectation provided.

  Each person costs about $400, which is slightly expensive talking about a restaurants upstairs.  But I will definitely return, hopefully with the same girl.
