Valentine's Day, we decided to just eat in and avoid the over priced Valentine's Day dinner sets. After some deliberation, we decided to try a new pizza place that had opened near my home called Dough Bros. Menu is in English only with no 10% service charge. What they serve is few varieties of pizza starting at $88. They are 10 inches in size. They also offer drinks, two types of appetizers and doughnuts. Hmm...interesting.
We decided on The Works ($128) and asked if we could leave out the jalepeno as I couldn't do spicy. This was clearly ok by them. It was pretty good! The toppings included tomato, mozzarella, chorizo, pepperoni, beef balls and jalanepno. As I didn't want jalepeno, they appeared to have replaced it with regular red peppers so you still get something in return! The beef balls were really excellent. Everything held together well. The crust was soft yet crisp. It was thick crust style so you if you love crust, this is really for you. They included a garlic and herb dipping sauce. We added it to the pizza and wow ... took it to another level. And after you get to the crust part, you can just dunk it into the sauce and it was like having bread!
Really excellent pizza and a welcome edition to the neighbourhood! I'll definitely return and try out a doughnut. I'm particularly picky about doughtnuts so ... wonder if it meets my expecations?
