Opened a while back, Yakiniku Ushio is conveniently located on Wellington Street near LKF. When we first entered, I was surprised how large and deep the restaurant is. It definitely has a great decor and is spacious. I didn't feel at anytime that we were rushed or squished in a small restaurant. Few things right off the bat:
Corkage: $500 per bottle, they do BOGO corkage policy. Always great to know.
Menu: there are 2 set menu's to choose, but preferably if you are going to eat Yakiniku then selecting the Wa menu is preferred.
Beef: Each yakiniku restaurant show cases their "award" winning beef. Ushio is no different. One difference is that they specialize in Akami Beef which is supposedly more ruby colored with less fat lines. But since its Wagyu as well, so it brings a better balance between fat / muscle.
Service: We sat at the bar and we had a chef cook all our meats for us. Every single meat has a specific cooking time and rather than doing this ourselves, we left it to the professionals. Else wise, the waiter service was adequate.
Overall: In the midst of all the yakiniku restaurants in Central, Ushio does have a stand out by offering a great dining atmosphere and unique taste of beef.
One thing to note if you like your beef to be salt grilled, you can let the chef know when ordering. They offer 3 salt based beefs and 3 sauce based beefs. But since they have a similar dipping sauce, technically you can order all salt based. Just another point to consider.
Great Yakiniku and will come back soon.

Amazing Service, the grills have no smell as expected from a high end yakiniku restaurant.
