To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 朋友生日, 揀咗好耐未黎過嘅北京樓吃飯。冷盤叫咗素鵝同醉雞。素鵝同出面大部份走路唔痛是沒有油炸的,非常清新。醉雞中規中矩,浸得入味但酒味不重。黃金蝦味道很好不過蝦有啲霉。係全晚最失望嘅一道菜。今晚主角當然係片皮鴨。北京樓的片皮鴨未必係全香港最好,但一定係全港水準最穩定的, 從來無失手。今晚亦唔例外。肥瘦適中,薄餅每件分明唔會黐住。二食鴨肉生菜包感覺清爽,同片皮鴨形成不同嘅對比。一邊食一邊望住師傅表演拉麵,於是叫咗一碟。炒拉麵賣相麻麻,不過味道不錯。小籠包皮薄餡靚,朋友雖然夾左多次都失手跌翻落碗,小籠包皮依然冇破爛,認證左點心師傅嘅功力。甜品叫咗依家比較少見嘅拔絲香蕉。用糖漿做嘅皮冷凍後變咗香脆嘅外殼, 但裏面嘅香蕉仍然保持溫暖,係一到考廚師功夫嘅甜品。
