As a teppanyaki lover, Trattoria Kagawa by Mihara has long been on my list. It's an Italian-Japanese teppanyaki restaurant with an experienced Japanese chef serving delicious fusion cuisine. The front of the restaurant is decorated with plants and neon lights, making it a real eye-catcher in the cityscape of Wanchai. Attracted by the new promotional menu, we changed our minds - a free flow of mussels and a glass of wine would be the perfect accompaniment to a happy Sunday evening. The mussels came in a choice of three flavours - butter cream and garlic, white wine sauce and tomato sauce.
I personally prefer the butter cream sauce, it tastes creamy and delicious. 
Tomato Sauce tastes spicy and is quite appetising. 
White wine sauce is a bit plain, allowing us to taste the mussels.
The mussels are not large, which is normal for blue mussels, but they are juicy. The fries that came with the mussels were hot and crispy, well-seasoned but not oily, so we kept refilling them.

No wonder I still wanted the teppanyaki dish. This ox tongue was perfectly cooked. It was so tender and tasted wonderful. It was served with a wasabi sour cream sauce and spring onions, which went surprisingly well together. Highly recommended!

The service was attentive and the manager recommended a bottle of J. Moreau Chardonnay from France to go with the mussels.
This white had a slightly sweet citrus flavour with a mineral touch. Not an expensive wine, but a good accompaniment to seafood.-

I can't believe that soufflé pancakes are available in a teppanyaki restaurant and of course this is a must-try. The made-to-order pancake looks fluffy with an airy and moist texture.
It was served with macadamia nuts and Japanese cream, which gave it a buttery flavour. It was delicious and really hit the spot.

This place is worth recommanding, the service, atmosphere and food all lived up to my expectations. Just grab a glass of wine !
